Adam and Maya watching the opening ceremony for the Eagles/Cardinals game last night. Maya was mesmerized by the guy singing the Star Spangled Banner. 11-28-08

Thanksgiving Crew

Dinner time!

You'd think she'd wanna wait for everyone to get to the table with their food right?

Pajamas and V8

Earlier this morning (11-25-08), Maya was rocking back and forth in the glider playing with her sippy cup full of V8 and just being all around the silly girl she is.

Sometimes I forget to get the camera when she's being silly, but this morning I remembered!

Oh, and incase you are raising an eyebrow at the V8, yes it's actually the real thing and she loves it!

A Day in the Park

Adam, Maya, and myself went to the Pennypack division of Fairmount Park today and we walked around and had a mini photo-shoot. I thought it would be an excuse to get out the house, and also to capture some of the autumnal beauty the more rural areas Philadelphia has to offer.

Usually never can get shots of Maya getting piggy-back rides from me, but it's a pretty common thing that occurs more than once daily. She's rubbing her eyes her due to allergies. 11-08-08

I don't remember what this contraption is called that Maya has her hand in, but it's pretty cool. It's for children to carry around and eat from it without spilling all the contents. Adam come home with it after an excusrsion to the store.

I found an old whistle lying around, picked it up and started blowing in it and of course Maya wouldn't let me just whistle at her. Maya HAD to have it (what else can you expect?). 11-08-08

I used to sit in front of the mirror at my Grandma and Grandpa Davis' and make all sorts of different faces. I guess she takes after me because that's seeming to become a favorite past time. 11-07-08

This was taken in the middle of a tickle attack. I was quick enough to get the camera without Maya know what I was up to. 11-07-08

Adam took this photo of Maya and I out front on the steps. As you can see, she doesn't like to stay still for long. 11-1-08

This was taken a few seconds before the other one. She wasn't squirming quite so much. . .

Maya and John Ian. We went over there for Halloween and trick or treated in his neighborhood. Maya didn't know what to think of trick or treating. She was scared to walk; every time I put her down on the ground to walk, she screamed bloody murder and made me carry her from house to house. The only time she would let me put her down would be when she could grab candy. She wasn't shy about taking the candy either. She reached both hands in each candy dish and tried to take as much as she could.

Maya and John playing a composition on piano.

And of course, I forgot to mention (if you haven't noticed), Maya was a cat!
